Before a bland black glass leviathan
Condominium rose in its stead in its bed,
[The plot was filled and coated] obsidian
Slathered so smooth. After it cooled,
Before the desecration by demarcation
For the purpose of a placeholder parking lot,
I happened upon fresh immaculate asphalt
And was enthralled by this vast tile of perfect jet.
